Beginnings
In 1955, Marvin Weiss started as a discount toy store called "Toy Riot," and he sold 88 cent toys out of a house in Pennsauken. In addition to toys, Marvin sold folding aluminum furniture and eventually he began selling rattan and redwood furniture. The store became a South Jersey fixture.
Viking Grows
In 1965, Marvin and his wife Rose moved into the furniture business. They sold off all the toys and became Viking Casual Furniture. Viking soon established a reputation as a family-run business with unparalelled customer service. In 1977, they moved to a storefront in Maple Shade to acommodate their growing inventory, and in 1986 they moved to their current location on Route 70 in Cherry Hill.
Viking Today
Marvin and Rose still own Viking and are now in business with their son Stuart. Viking Casual Furniture today is the place to get top quality indoor and outdoor furniture at a quality price in the Delaware Valley.
